Our services

Handy DoctorCraft provides handyman and home services in Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee and DeSoto counties, Florida. We work within the limits of Florida law. Work that requires a state contractor license or a permit, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas, roofing and structural work, is not performed by us and may be referred to a licensed professional.

Estimates and prices

Estimates are free. The "starting at" prices on our website are a guide only. Your final price depends on your specific job and is confirmed in a written quote before any work begins. Materials are not included unless your quote says so.

If we find something unexpected during the job, we stop and explain it. No extra work is done or charged without your approval.

Payment and deposits

We accept cash, check or Zelle. Depending on the size of the job and the materials, we may ask for a deposit of 30% to 50% before we start. On larger jobs, materials are paid in advance. The balance is due when the job is done.

Emergencies

Emergency house calls, including weekends, carry a 20% surcharge on the labor price. We will tell you before we come.

Scheduling and cancellations

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule. If materials were purchased for your job, their cost may not be refundable.

Our Healthy Home Promise

Our labor is guaranteed for one year from the date the job is completed. If something we did is not right, we come back and fix it at no labor cost. Materials and products carry their own manufacturer's warranty. The guarantee does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, storms, other contractors or normal wear.

Seasonal Home Watch

Home watch visits are visual checks of the accessible areas of your home. They are not a home inspection, and we are not responsible for problems that could not be seen during a visit. If we find a problem, we contact you right away and follow your instructions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our responsibility for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
